Workers are building forms for the footings at the Bennett Residence project. The excavation was rather difficult, but the home will now be sitting firmly on very hard bedrock. Drilling for the geothermal wells has been postponed until a more powerful drilling rig is available – also because the bedrock is so hard.
The photo above shows formwork for the footings around the bowling alleys.
Here you can see the view to Breckenridge Ski Area beyond. The terrain parks on Peak 8 below and the top of Peak 10 centered beyond.
The Bennett Residence is a 15,000 square foot custom vacation home located on Shock Hill in Breckenridge, Colorado. It will have a grand lodge feel to it, with some inspiration coming from the Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite National Park.
